Anti-Cancer Juice Recipe

Looking for a potent anti-cancer juice recipe? This “juice bomb” is made from fruits and vegetables with anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties.

Researchers estimate that our bodies experience an average of 800 incidents of DNA damage per hour (19,200 per day!)

DNA damage can cause mutations that give rise to cancer if not repaired.

Fortunately, what we eat can protect our DNA and influence DNA repair which explains the anti-cancer benefits of many plant-based foods.

In a study that examined several fruits and vegetables for DNA repair, lemons, apples, persimmons, strawberries, broccoli and celery conferred DNA protection at very low concentrations.

This juice contains 3 of these foods – lemon, apple and celery.

Anti-Cancer Juice Recipe

This recipe makes enough juice for six 4 oz. juice bombs. (Larger version of a juice shot, which is usually 2.5 oz.)

½ lb lemons

Lemons cut DNA damage by a third. They are high in vitamin C, an antioxidant. Lemon juice aids antioxidant absorption.

½ lb ginger root

We know from other studies that ginger also helps protect DNA from oxidative damage. It’s highly anti-inflammatory, and inflammation is a tumor promoter.

¾ lb apples

Apples are associated with lower cancer rates. Apple peels have potent antioxidant and anti-proliferative effects on cancer cells. Apples have been shown to fight cancer at every stage.

½ lb celery

While these ingredients have anti-cancer properties, they actually support your body via multiple pathways. I give this juice to my son for his year-round allergies. My husband recently drank it for a cold, and feels it aided his recovery. It would also be a good juice for anyone dealing with painful arthritis.
